This week, someone told me that I have the ability to capture so much life in all of my sessions. (thank you Kristy Leigh ;) Even though they have no idea who the people are in my galleries, she said that she can see their life, and see what love they have. This has stuck with me all week. It made me realize, that my vision matters. My patience, and my anticipation to every shot...matters. Because people pay attention to what is REAL and what ISN'T. This is what I love so much about this session. Melanie and Scott showed up at Buffalo Trace Distillery ready and excited! They just let go in front of the camera and helped me capture their true emotions, true states of love. We walked around the area and I could tell, they didn't care about poses...they would rather just laugh and have fun! They just wanted to interact with each other, and this is why we make such a great match. I always try to explain before every session, that I am trying to convey how they feel for each other, and the focus isn't on ME and my camera. I am so happy they chose me to capture this journey in their life! The greatest part, we had dinner together that night in little downtown of Frankfort Kentucky, and really connected and talked even more about their wedding day! What an honor. Happy engagement Melanie and Scott! I can't wait to photograph your beautiful June wedding!
